Life Lately | February

January was admittedly a lonely month. Coming right off graduating in the middle of the traditional school year and the busy holiday season, January found me ill-prepared for a life in between school and work, and I often stayed at home for days on end without seeing anyone but my family. And while I love my family, it was an abrupt shock from seeing my closest friends every day as has been my habit for the last few years.

If January was a month of blues, February was a month of sunshine, metaphorically and literally. One of my best friends and I instituted a weekly coffee date at one of our favourite coffee shops, and I've made an effort to get out of my house more, even if it is just to take my dog to nearby parks. Spring seems to be here to stay, which infuriates me as autumn/winter is my favourite time of year and aside from a brief few days of ice we had no winter, yet it has helped my mood change as better weather brings promises of more trips.

As evidenced in the photos above, February was a month of coffee drinking and park exploring, of family trips and cat cuddles, of local adventuring and city wandering, and March promises to bring more of the same (and more warm weather, but I'm trying to forget about it).
