Charlotte, NC

January 14-15, 2017

One of my monthly goals for January was to drive over to Charlotte to visit a friend. A day after posting the list, I decided the following weekend was the best opportunity to make it happen. After a few text exchanges to make sure she was free, I found myself on the road early Saturday morning making my way to Charlotte.

I was only there for a little over 24 hours and the point of the trip was to visit a friend, so my pictures are few and my words are sparse. However, given that I had never been to Charlotte before - though I've have visited Charlotte suburbia many times - I took the opportunities given to check out some of the sights uptown, including Romare Bearden Park, The Green, the Mint Museum, and of course, a trip to the famous Amelie's French Bakery in NoDa. It was overall a relaxed weekend with a dear friend, and especially as I no longer see friends every day at college, was much needed.
