December | Life Lately

I say this every month, but December was a wild ride. Unlike most other months, where I typically attribute the craziness to the buzz of having a full schedule, December was a time of attaining long worked-for goals: I submitted and received a A on my senior thesis, a 35-page affair detailing Britain's history of immigration and this year's shocking Brexit decision; and I graduated magna cum laude from university, having finished my B.A. in International Studies a semester early (okay proud bragging moment over).

Since graduation, my life has mellowed out considerably. I spend my mornings applying for jobs and taking care of other necessary business, then spend my afternoons and evenings reading books, writing, and taking gloriously long naps. I know/hope these weeks of luxurious laziness will end soon, so I'm taking advantage of them while I can. The coming months are full of uncertainty, so I plan on spending the rest of the year indulging in ginger kitty cuddles and my overambitious library stack.
