Life Lately | April

April was an absolute whirlwind of a month, full of constant traveling and new experiences, punctuated by many of the same thoughts and worries I've held since January. I visited four countries - France, Italy, Belgium, and the Czech Republic - each one memorable in its own way. I spent far too much money on trips and did not regret a single moment of it. I managed to coherently give two presentations on topics I don't know very well. I finally found all the ingredients to make cookie dough from scratch. I traveled to a foreign country with a student group in which I knew no one and returned with a few new friends.

Amidst all these fun times and personal accomplishments lingered the uncertainty of my life back in the States. I still don't know if I will be able to find a job for the rest of the summer or an apartment for the coming school year, and graduation is a mere two years in the future - seemingly far off but I know how quickly time flies. I feel so helpless trying to make plans while still an ocean away. But I still have a month and a half to enjoy, and I refuse to allow this crazy European opportunity waste away with concerns of what's to come.
