Nights (And Days) In Rodanthe | Part 1

I always like reading other people's blog posts about traveling, probably because it's one of my own favourite activities. I'm taking a few interesting trips later in the year, so I thought I'd get a head start on making a series of travel posts. I'm currently at the Outer Banks for the week with my family and my "second family" and I plan to share a few journal-like entries and photos throughout the week.

We arrived late in the afternoon yesterday, so I don't have many events to share so far. Our house is incredible: I get my own king-size bed, huge TV, and full bathroom to myself the entire week. We found a little cafe called the "Atlantic Coast Cafe" that had really good food (if you've never tried bacon & avocado on a grilled cheese sandwich, you are missing out!). Afterward, we went to the beach. The water was so cold! I'm hoping it will warm up later in the week, although I've never had much luck with warm ocean water out here.

All we've done today is swim in our pool (which thankfully is heated) and lounge around the house, reading and watching movies. Since I've been here, I've had loads of blog post ideas so hopefully I'll have time this week to write and queue them up for the next few upcoming weeks.
